Countryside wedding venue
Chloe and Darren’s vision of their big day? Rustic, adorned in flowers and embracing the best of British summertime.
Nestled in Hertfordshire countryside, Lodge Farm provided the ideal canvas for their picture perfect rural wedding.
Ideas for a garden venue
Maximising the outdoor space a three hat tipi transformed the garden to create a gorgeous summer festival feel.
Guests were greeted with champagne, canapés and an invitation to get competitive with a selection of traditional lawn games. Wedding guitarist, Rob Austen found a shady spot to play from whilst magician, Rob Austen entertained the couple’s friends and family.
Small touches created a relaxed and informal vibe; timings for the day were displayed on a reclaimed wooden pallet, bunting was hung tree to tree and a wrought iron flower stand created a nostalgic summer scene.
A tipi wedding
Inside the tipi Chloe’s vision of a plentiful grazing table feast came to life. Guests built their own plates, choosing from a selection of salads, meats and cheeses to enjoy at long wooden trestle tables.
For dessert Chloe and Darren’s favourite cake was a must, decorated simply with a selection of summer berries.
Florist, Stephanie Rose used glass bottles to decorate the trestle tables with fairy lights and foliage. This perfectly complimented another of Chloe’s ideas for her big day; a truly unique floral display, as guests found their seat by way of a beautiful faux-flower framed mirror.
Marking the occasion Bands for Hire’s, Soul Patrol filled the tipi with the sounds of Chloe and Darren’s chosen tracks.
Dusk settling marked an extra special moment as guests gathered on the lawn to light sparklers, whilst the band played the newlywed’s favourite song. And for those guests feeling the chill a bundle of warm and cosy blankets were provided.
Laura and Tom of Hertfordshire’s coveted wedding photographers, Love and Life Studio captured the moment beautifully.
A bespoke summer wedding
Working closely with Chloe and Darren in the lead up to their day ensured a bespoke celebration that reflected them as a couple, whilst making the most of our beautiful grounds.
Our top tip was to make the most of our tucked away Secret Garden; the perfect intimate setting for a photo opportunity that reflected the romance of the big day.
With the farm’s gorgeous gateways, rolling hills and equine residents as a backdrop, Chloe and Darren’s wedding album evokes memories of a relaxed summer’s day filled with family, friends and the most beautiful of summer time nuptials.
